Forum problems

Is anybody else having problems posting?
I now have to take a copy before posting because it fails so often. Taking sometimes 50 seconds to respond and then a blank page.
If you write long postings as I am known to do, it is a pain.
All other tabs on Firefox are responding perfectly.
It seems to me to happen after lunch say 2pm and 6pm GMT

i have noticed this too - a long wait to sometimes get into the site nevermind the forums.

I switched to FireFox from IE 6 and it seems much quicker.
I still use IE 7 on Vista at home so will check tonight to see if there is a definite speed difference between browsers.

I have been experiencing this problem for quite some time now, and it is usually during the day (I'm on EST).* Browser doesn't seem to play a part in it for me, however.

The browser is not the issue with me either. It appears to be that the server for the base under which this forum runs cannot cope for certain hours. I also have periodically had the problem, but one never knows for sure where the problem lay. I mostly notice it during refresh at posting a reply, then notice that all my wonderful words didn't arrive. Somehow the second attempt never produces the same words, so now I copy before posting.

It just happened, this is try 2. I'm sure Sunday mornings, all 5,000,000 kids get on the internet while the parents are still in bed.
