v1.04 install issues

I manually removed all I could find of v1.03 from my laptop and my iPAQ HX4700 running WM2005.

Ran the version v1.04 Pro Setup.exe to install on my laptop. then ran the PPLSetup.exe to install on the PPC.

a) The PPC install was pointed to "CF Card\Program Files\PPL"
The Demo files were not installed in "CF Card\My Documents\PPL" as they should have been. Instead, they were installed in "\My Documents". The "CF Card\My Documents\PPL" folder did already exist.

b) The wrong gsgetfile.dll was installed on the PPC.
The "CF Card\Program Files\PPL\WM2005" folder contained just one file, gsgetfile_wm2005.dll while the WM2003 folder contained just the wm2003.exe file.
I had to manually copy the correct gsgetfile.dll into the "CF Card\Program Files\PPL" folder.

Thanks for your interest in PPL.

a. The default location is \My Documents\ for the demo files. We will change it to point to \Demos\ in the installed folder.

b. This is normal. We install PocketPC 2000 default files. The WM2005 gsgetfile.dll will not be default installed since the majority of people don't have WM2005.

We are sorry for the manual intervention you had to do but we cannot change this behavior.

As for "b", can you add the needed steps to the Tutorial for WM2005 VGA support ?

Now for a "c": !sad
I have also noticed that while HiRes does enable correctly for PPL.exe on startup, the VFB and Editor end up in the top left corner as a QVGA window making them useless while in VGA mode. Sigh.

Is there another step needed for them to work correctly in HiRes mode ?

VGA is the same for WM2003 and WM2005. Please check*our tutorials section. </p>

c. This is a known issue, we are looking into, the fix won't be that easy according to the Editor and VFB developer but it is coming probably not for 1.05, hopefully next week.</p>
