I had a project open in the PIDE and I had several source files open.* I right clicked on one of the source code windows and selected close all, and suddenly the Close option under the project menu was greyed out.* Unfortunately, the project wasn't actually closed!* Shouldn't that menu option remain active until the project itself is closed?

Was the close option in the file menu also greyed out? Were the Run buttons available or greyed out?
Normally the close all works pretty well on my computer, but once I had a similar problem like you described. However in my case PPL also greyed out the run buttons and it seemed, that for some reason the programm did not exit properly and therefor PPL couldn't close it (in my case).
Would it be possible that your project file was accessed from another application (Packagemanager, Filemanger,...) and PPL couldn't successfully close it, while it greyed out the command when it started with the task??

Actually, all I have to do to recreate the problem is start the PIDE and open a project with some code windows that are open.* If I do a Close All on one of the code windows, the Close menu item under Project is grayed out.* The one under File is still active, but if I try and use it I get an Access Violation error.* The Run option is still available, and I can run the program just fine.* It's really a minor thing, just a bit frustrating.

I tried to recreate the problem on my machine, but somehow I couldn't reproduce it (maybe my test project was to simple). I created a new project (Game API AdvancedProject) and added a few ppl-files to it (just to be able to have multiple code windows open).
In this simple scenario the Close All worked properly in so far that all the code windows were closed (however the project itself was not closed). The Close under Project was also greyed out and the Close in the File menu was active (also in reality it did nothing - it was not possible to close the project with it).

Actually, Heinz, that's exactly my problem :)* If I close all the code windows, I can no longer close the project without reopening a code window.* Looks like you can reproduce it :)

Sorry, I missunderstood it originally. Yes, I have exactly the same behaviour on my machine :-) Unfortunately I have also no idea for a better work around then your idea with reopening it again :-)
