What does this button do?

Can anyone tell me what this button does?:

The baloon help just says "PocketPC form" regardless of te button's state. When it's toggled ON, the form editor shows what looks like a PocketPC form, when it's toggled OFF the form looks like a standard windows form. Either way seems to have no effect on the final output to the PocketPC.

So what is its purpose?

I think the button is there simply to show you what the form will look like running it on your PC versus the PocketPC.* I realize you could just run it on the PC to see, but some people want to see the difference beforehand.* I leave this up to Alain to provide a real answer.
