After success with my OldSkool demo (ages ago) I thought I would have a go at trying to kill PPL and make it grind to a halt.

Well, all I can say is that it is very hard to make PPL go slow! - It is sooo fast :)

Attached is a screen grab of my newest demo - 6 components in total and still running at 42+ frames per second. I dont know what else to include to make PPL go slow! rofl. (my new dev laptop is 1.6ghz dual core) so if you have a faster machine is should run up to 60 fps.

Alain, you have created a monster with PPL. ha ha

If any of you want a full copy of this demo, with source code so you can see how it is put together, just click the following link;

http://www.4shared.com/file/62562432/b7a4ac70/MegaBlastDemo2008.html Be warned, it is over 8MB in size (compressed).

As ever, post your comments (once you have received the demo) - anything is appreciated.

Cheers

Mike.

yeah it's really fluxing over my screen (over 60 fps), so fast i can't read the demo text in real time :D

and please don't stop to share your great contributions, concern the active community is still small (even the whole mobile) and this will never change if nobody would participate, especially ideal persons like you.

maybe we could reactivate our group project, if we could realise this bigger project together we will reach more people (=more feedback).
anyone who has the same opinion as me leave a message in social groups section (in the menu quick links) on this forum ;)

Thanks NickNack.

I thought I would have had more of a response on this. Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers! as the saying goes.

I meant to try since the day you've posted this.

This is unbelievable! Totally wicked. It is running full speed on Parallels Desktop on a MacBook Pro running under Vista virtual machine.

You are an inspiration to the capabilities of the GameAPI. Please never stop putting these things together, they rock.

I feel nostalgic right now about the good old days, when 2D was king!
