On-device development?

One of the main reasons I bought PPL 1.X is so I can have fun developing on my phone -- it's not at all clear if PIDE on 2.0 runs on the device. Please clarify :)

Hi Jim,

PPL 2.0 won't have the on-device development tools, as they are just too outdated now. We however are looking into redoing them using the PCL libraries that comes with PPL 2. It should be easier to maintain after that.

Can you at least let me compile source code on the device? I can get by without the Visual tools, but being able to compile text source on the device is important to me.

If you can do this I'll spring for the upgrade before the 15th :)

Sorry this is not possible anymore from the PIDE. However nothing stops you from using the old PPL IDE on your device and compile from it.
