Hi all,
Tonight I stumbled across PPL.. Sounds like exactly what Ive been looking for.. So..I installed it.. gave it a quick go.. read the manual.. then bought it.
I launched PIDE.. registered it.. and it said it needs to be restarted. then when I started it up again a DOS window pops up and a error dialog appears with the following

C:\PROGRA~1\PPL\Runtime\PPL.EXE
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:0f42 IP:0120 OP:26 df 49 c5 f9 Chose 'Close' to terminate the application.

The IDE still starts up.. but if I try to run anything I get another DOS box with the same error.

For additional information :
Im running on a Toshiba Laptop running XP Tablet Edition.
I downloaded and installed the latest 1.06 and registered the Pro version.

help!

Hi,

This is a known error. When you register PPL it is stamped with version information along with other information. It sometimes happen that this information corrupts the file. Try re-registering the runtimes from the PIDE again. It should fix the problem.

Dear kornalius, same thing with me, but re-registering won't help. Register Runtimes gives a "succesfull" on both PC and PPC registering but the error continues to show up. What's wrong?

Re-installed PPL. Works now fine. Thx

Hi guys,

I thought I have fixed the re-registration issue. I will look into it and do more testing next week.

Sorry about that.

Just to let you know I also uninstalled/installed PPL and this time registration worked fine.
Now onto the fun of learning to use it :)
