ErrorMessage on Startup on PC & no start on PPC

If i start PPL2 (Version 2.00.0003) on my PC every time i get these to error-messages:

So, what is it?
What to do?

The other problem is, i am not able to start PPL2 on my PPC (Version 1.00.0001).
It´s an HTC Touch Pro with original WM6.1
PPL2 on my PPC seems to laod, and after loading nothing happens again...

how do you get version 2.00.0003 installed? does the new version of cleverupdate work for you? or do you still use the old?

I have the CleverUpdateVersion 1.02.0002 installed and it works for me...

But the rest doens´t work :confused:

what is different in the new version, does it run better?

edit: ah have read the changelog through CleverUpdate 1.0, but I have no chance for downloading. CleverUpdate only want to upgrade to its broken version:D

Just hold until tonight, I will have 2.00.0003 and a new version of CleverUpdate that should be running fine now.

Ok...installed Version_2.00.003 of PPL2 and Version_1.00.002 of the Mobile SDK...

The probs are still the same!

The error-messages of my Post #1 are still there and on my PPC PPL2 is not starting...

So, i want to programm!!!

I´ve stopped my projects because of the release from PPL2 and now?
Nothing works! :-(

I´m very sad and getting angry...
Every evening i come home after work, look for an update, check if it´s working...and bumm...nothing changed and nothing works...this is very frustrating to me...

Please fix it and tell me at what date or time i can look for the fix...

you find many solution for your just in debuger problem on the web, eg here (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vsdebug/thread/9e6cb3fb-f8fb-4c22-8608-e521e13260ff).
the solutions go from registry changes to the most simple one, run the exe in compatibility mode.
if those don't help, kornalius can still try to prevent this error by coding.

You guys should be aware that the PPC IDE is not provided anymore. So running PPL 2 on the PPC will not do anything. You only have the runtimes installed there.

Ok, next. Disable all firewalls on your machine and try changing the Port PPL 2 uses. Tools -> Preferences -> IDE -> Debugger.

No idea what that just-in-time debugger message is.

Ok...let me explain something:

I did not have this error-message in the versions of PPL2 before the actual one...

I found out, that i am not having an JIT-debugger on my PC and this seems to be the problem...
It looks like PPL2 is searching for an JIT-debugger, but cannot find one...
I only have the express edition of VS2005 installed, and this version has no JIT-debugger ;-)

I´ve made an screenshot of the debug-preference inmy PPL2, maybee here the settings are bad or worng, i don´t know...

in the newest version, the runtime has been moved to Eigene Dateien\PPL2\Runtime. maybe thats the problem?
btw I think it's normal not to have JIT installed, except for the people who has Visual Studio. so it should not be the reason for this error not to have JIT, I have it not too and PPL 2 works.

What i´ve read in the links of you guys was, that anything (think it´s PPL2 or WinXP) is searching for an JIT-Debugger...
But it cannot be found...

This seems to be the reason for the error-message...

So is till don´t know what to do...i cannot debug a project till now :-(

btw. @kornalius: thx forthe info that PPL2 on PPC is just the runtime...i didn´t know this before...

So...i checked one more thing:

If i load PPL2 the first error-message of JIT-debugging pops up while PPL2 is trying to "start PPL designer runtime" ;-)

Maybe here is really a prob with the runtime or the settings?

I´ve made a screenshot of my runtime-settings (i did not change anything...they are the default ones)

Hi,

First you need to change the Intel_WorkFolder to My documents\PPL2\Runtime not Program Files. When updating to the latest release of PPL 2 we have made it clear to remove the previous folder PPL2 from Program Files to avoid this problem.

Second, make sure BugTrap.dll and DbgHelp.dll are located in the same folder as PPL.EXE.

This should solve the issue. PPL.EXE cannot be run from Program Files folder without elevated privileges, that is the reason why we have moved it to My Documents\PPL2\Runtime

as I said in my earlier post, the new runtime folder is on german machines in Eigene Dateien (My Documents). if this doesn't solve the problem why don't you simply try to run pide2 in eg win2000 compatibility mode? (rechtsklick -> eigenschaften -> kompabilität)

I didn´t try out by myself yesterday, because it was to late and i had to go to sleep ;-)

And i don´t wanted to change more false than it is right now.

I´ll try it out tday after work.

@kornalius: i deleted everything before the update as you said!
Don´t know why this is false...

But it´s good to know where i can pick up the problem...

If it works after changing these settings, everybody can read here, if another one have the same error-message :-)

So...this evening i just deinstalled everything, MobileSDK + PPL2 + CleverUpdate and installed everything new...

And what should i say? It works :-)

@kornalius: one little prob i have...the update of CleverUpdate was a little bit broken (i have stored an older version of it on my PC)...
if i now open CleverUpdate i can only close it with killing the process in the taskmanager...
could you please send me or post here a downloadlink of the actual CleverUpdate?

Is it possible then to deinstall only CleverUpdate and install the new one?
I mean without deinstalling PPL2 & MobileSDK?!

nice to hear you have sorted it out, would be odd if this error only appears for you for all the time.

I would first try without deinstalling ppl2, you can still try with it if it doesn't work without :D
you can't do much wrong here, since you can deinstall all progs at any time and start from beginning.

Yes you can just uninstall CleverUpdate alone and re-install it. Check the CleverUpdate Start menu, it should have an Uninstall CleverUpdate menu item in there.
