can't run ppl2 code, file

Hello
I `now have ppl2 installed, thank you helpping. I now can not run anthing that I make. The message I get is can not connect to server. I have gone into pref... and changed the ip address and the connection message is gone away but it still does not run any thing I try to make now or old ppl files. What should I try next?

Are you sure this port is accessible? Not blocked by any firewall? Turn off any firewalls and try again.

I believe that I did turn off the firewall at one point while trying to figure it out what was wrong.

Do you have a HTTP server like WAMP or something like that running on your machine?

Have you tried changing the port to something higher than 1000?
