Hi,
You can get the Game Edition and add the Windows Mobile SDK package to create executables for Windows Mobile devices.

Just copy the SWIRLCOMP.pvi and WINMOSDK.pvi files to the /My Documents/CleverUpdate folder.
Edit: ok, seems you figured it out yourself :-)

have a look at this page (http://www.ppl-lang.com/download.php). here you can find the installation guide and the missing tutorial book.
can you open the help file by clicking on the big button in the welcome screen? or try to open a new code file and press F1. I can also open the help only if a code file is already opened.

Hi,
Thanks for your purchase.
The tutorial book is not included in the default installation files because the file size if too big. It has to be installed manually.
If you read the EULA you are only allowed installing PPL on 1 machine per license. Just so you know.

Yes i read the EULA but i purchase also the windows mobile sdk which it is impossible to install in the first machine.So i install ppl in second machine i download windows mobile sdk and i copy the msi back to the first machine.Until i found the way i spent about 3-4 hours so do not blame me.Also i unistall the ppl from the second because it is ancient

have you already tried to reinstall everything including remaining files? don't forget those in my documents, especially those from cleverupdate.
when does the error exactly come up? you download the mobile sdk, click install and at that moment it happens?

Try updating Microsoft mobile center to the latest version. The winmo package should run fine on win7. We use win7 for development and it installs fine.

Unfortunately i have more problems.I try to run the simple "hello world" program.I press F5 and nothing happens.No window appears.I put on purpose no existing functions in code with same result.No error messages ,no warnings nothing at all.In the debug log i hav this
"Inititializing TCP server on port #1002...
22/3/2010 04:13:46 μμ : Generated by the PPL interpreter v.2.2.1
22/3/2010 04:13:46 μμ : Root C:\Users\hp-christos\Documents\PPL2\Runtime\
Shutting down TCP server...Done!"
edit:Ignore my message.I am a visual basic boy and i forgot to put ; at the end.

There is a little issue with the compiler that does not report errors when the file is not saved for the first time. I believe it was fixed in the future update.

I make a mobile project and i want to declare some window mobile apis.The problem is that i do not know where i put the declare statements;

can you be more speficic? are you in virtual coding mode, is your project form based... mostly declare functions should be placed right at the beginning of your file next to the include statements :)

It is form based project.
And one off topic question.The forum seems dead or it is my idea;

yes at the moment it's quite quiet around here :( I wouldn't call it completly dead, in the past there was over days no new post and there were not so many guests online as now.
there many reasons for this issue, one is the arising of new competitors on the market(iphone, android) simultaneously the failure of microsoft with improving windows mobile (they have simply rest on their old big market share).
the next reason is the near arrivel of windows phone 7. why developing now for 6.5 if you have to redone your work in a half year? also you have surely read about the recent news about this new OS, do you like the idea of no native programs or no copy&paste? it seems microsoft fails again on mobile sector or is at least aiming only for the "primitive" end-user à la iphone guys.
microsoft is the biggest software empire on world and clones apple's work instead of simply improving their own open and solid concept :eek: they have already much money, so they should try things out and don't must always follow the most profite way.
kornalius is also distracted by other projects, understandibly enough he must somehow earn money to go on.
it would be much work to make PPL completly avaiable to all platforms. maybe releasing parts of the code as open source helps? not sure I don't think there are many guys around who would participate.
