Is there some help files for documentation available that covers all aspects of PPL. Looking for something similiar to what Borland used to provide for the VCL.

well, at least Borlands help system is a pain since the days of Delphi 8. If the folks here keep up their speed I guess we will be blessed with something considerably better in a not too distant future.
And the PPL help is not that bad, considering the plus of the tutorials and demos given. It should do for a start.

More a guideline than a help file please.

What would you guys like exactly? More tutorials, more functions documentation. We will try to improve in those areas.

I think both are important. Tutorials for a quick start and overview. My high priority would be for a better documentation of PPL's functions. So I won't get stuck in the middle of the work only for not knowing how to use exactly one of the many PPL's features.

We are working hard on trying to finish the functions definitions and descriptions. We should have finished soon hopefully.

for example i found greath the newsletter I have just read the last one of november. It should be nice to put all those examples, tutorials and newsletter, together in a book that teach people how to program pocketpc (I think one of the best thing happening here is that we are learning a lots) using PPL language. I for sure would like to buy a book like that if is there.

There might a book done by Eric Pankoke later next year. We will add the November newsletter articles to the web site in the Tutorials section around Mid-November.

YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!
I think the problem with the online help is, if you don't know how to use the GameAPI, there is no way to find it out with it. The online help is perfect if you are not sure how to use a specific syntax in the GameAPI.
But your tutorials and newsletters are good "How to guides" and I really like it.

Heimi,
They will get better with time too. I am planning to add more tutorials.

The only thing that is preventing me from purchasing PPL Pro is the lack of documentation. I have been programming for years (C,C++, C#, BASIC, Delphi, ASM, etc.) but I really don't have time to figure out the syntx and structure through trial and error. If there was thorough documentaion along with tutorials then it would be a no-brainer...

Hi Thomas,
Have you looked at the included help file?
There are sections about the syntax and basic code structure.

Thomas, any help you need, just ask. Look at the activity in the forums, should can be sure you will get an answer real fast.
Oh btw, we will be holding a conference chat in a couple weeks (will be announced here soon) with the main developers of PPL. We will answer user's questions, have online interactive tutorials and more...

Thomas,
PPL is very much like the languages you mentioned. I have used those languages myself, and found PPL an easier transition-just simpler syntax. Almost everything I learned, I learned from the Examples and the Documentation. Like Kornalius mentioned, just ask and we'll try to help.
