Upgrade policy + serial communications

How will you be handling upgrades ?

1) Will they be free ? If so, for how long ?
2) How does one upgrade ? Do we just download the latest free demo and enter in our registration code to activate it ?

Serial communications - I had to hack a lot at the beta 097 rs232 demo to get it to work on the PC, and then it didn't work at all on the PPC. Sigh.

Has there been any work on that aspect, like you did with the winsock stuff ?

Thanks for your interest in PPL.

1. Upgrades will be free for a whole version. For version we will offer upgrade prices.

2. Yep that's it.

As for RS232 comm. we hardly have anything to test with. We can offer you a special support to get that resolved together. We seem to have more and more demand for RS232, so it might be good to get that fixed soon.
