Hi,
Still having trouble getting an icon to show correctly in the .exe. On my my Acer n30 what shows in a list of programs and files is the .exe with just the top quarter of the icon showing. I'm using a 32x32 pixel, 16 colour icon.
And when the program is launched the menu bar is missing. It's fine if I make the .exe with no icon and therefore default to the PPL icon.
I've attached a test program. I'd be grateful if someone could test it to see if:
a) the icon shows as a red rectangle with yellow cross and bows on top
b) the program shows a menu bar (in this test there is only File on the menu bar)
Thanks
John

John,

I have just tried your test program on my Dell Axim X50 with Windows 2003 SE.
I didn't see your Icon, or the menu bar
Hope this helps

I have the Axim x50v with Win 2003SE and the Icons are all visible exactly how you described. THe menubar however wasn't there.

Thanks to those who've tested my test prog.

I think I have cracked the icon issue -- hadn't realised that the icon file needs to contain both 32x32 and 16x16 icons in the one file. I now have a more modern icon editor that does that.

But Alain, I still find that if I specify an icon in the 'make exe' dialog the program's menu bar is missing. Can you shed light on why this is happening?
Cheers
John
