We have a new tutorial on how to enable VGA resolution for VGA compatible devices in Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 2005. If you have Windows Mobile 2005 and the file selector dialog text is showing as blocks, this tutorial will also show you how to solve this problem.</p>

Hi,

I tried this tutorial but it doesn't work correctly. When I start the PPL.exe (after I changed it to the WM2003 version), there is a runtime error:

&quot;The runtime might not support all the features used by this program, the program might not work properly&quot;

If I press OK there follows another error:

&quot;PPL Runtime Error
App: MAIN.PPL
File: main.ppc
Proc: WINMAIN
Opcode: LOCAL
Char/Line/Offset: 0,0
0x005d3df0

(WINMAIN)
Access violation at 0x31d50&quot;

and PPL exits.

But if I change back to the original PPL.exe no error shows, but then I don't have any VGA.

Also If I &quot;RUN&quot; a program from PIDE on my PC the program transfers to my PPC and compiles and run without any error it's only if I start PPL from my PPC the above errors occurs.
I Used Tweak2k2 to force VGA.

I have a Dell Axim x51v.

Update:

It appears that the error dissapperas after you have transferd a program from PIDE to the PPC and runned it.

Michael,

In order to minimize startup times, PPL will check the date on the generated PPC file. Try changing back to the wm2003 version, delete the ppc files generated with the other version then try running it.

Hi!

It helped to remove the ppc file.

Thanks

The new PPL.EXE should be registered using the PIDE as well Help -> Register PPL Runtimes...

The WM2003.ppl file is not registered as a Pro version but Lite by default. That is why PPL prevents you first.

Yes it should. The Trial gives you Pro features for 15 days.
