Default Checkered board floor mapping

Has anyone has a go at creating a checkered board floor mapping demo like we saw in the old amiga demos and in the 'Ballblazer' game?

I am just about to create one, but thought if there was already one in someones collection I would save time?

Mike.

Oh yeeessss please!

That would be good. I have tried polygons in the past and given up. Maybe with more 'pointers' I can get to grips with them!

Cheers

M.

Well, after a few missed weeks of coding (seems like much longer) I thought I would have another go at the floor mapping idea i had.

NickNack's polygon idea is great, but difficult to add texture to.

I have reverted back to the trusty surface technique.

The attached file shows what I have so far. - Quick and clean, but perspective is a bit too high i think.

Will release source code once I have polished it off a bit better.

Anyway, just a little something to show what I am working on!
